Application Procedure:

  • Candidates must apply ONLINE through our website Click here
  • This will generate a unique application number for each applicant.
  • Applications must be submitted online before the above-mentioned date.

    • After online submission of application, candidates must send the PDF of the application form along with the scanned copies of the fee payment receipt, and self-attested copies of supporting documents (10th marksheet, 12th marksheet, BTech degree marksheets and certificate, GATE score card, Master degree marksheets and certificate, Caste Certificate, if applicable and all other relevant certificates) in the mentioned order (all combined into a single PDF file) to admission-cse@iiti.ac.in within the online application deadline.

  • There is no need to send hard copies of the application form and supporting documents through POST or COURIER.
  • SW category candidates must also submit NOC, experience certificate, last three months salary slips, and Employers PAN card along with above mentioned documents with their application forms.
  • Candidates must also submit a statement of purpose (SOP) explaining why they would like to pursue a PhD in the specific research area (300 to 400 words) along with the application form.
  • Letters of recommendation must be sent by referees to admission-cse@iiti.ac.in before the above-mentioned date.

    Online interviews would be conducted on March 30, 2021 (Tuesday) through Google Meet platform. Detailed schedule regarding the interview will be intimated to the eligible/shortlisted candidates later.     Important Points:

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called/emailed for online interview.
  • GATE qualification is not compulsory for DF/ IS/ CT/ SW/ FA category candidates.

    Candidates who are Fellowship Awardees from the funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DST etc. are highly encouraged to apply under FA category. Such candidates should send the copy of the letter of the fellowship award along with their applications.
