CSAW CTF is the largest student driven cyber security competition and awareness event globally. It was started by New York University about 13 years ago. In the onsite finals, 45 teams from different regions around the world compete to find "flags". CSAW CTF 2019 India finals was hosted by IIT Kanpur from November 6 - 9, 2019. Team ByteBandits of CSE, IIT Indore consisting of Mrigank Krishan, Vaibhav Anand, Vishnunarayan K.I and Sarthak Jain secured 1st place in India and 9th globally in CSAW CTF (Finals) 2019.
